This Friday, 24th March 2017, we will be raising money for Comic Relief through a range of activities. School uniform should be worn, however students will be allowed to wear accessories such as hairbands and red noses (but not t-shirts) from the Red Nose Day range in aid of Comic Relief. They can also be creative in the way they wear these on their school uniform but please remember full uniform should still be worn as usual.
Throughout break and lunchtime there will also be an opportunity for students to support the Comic Relief charity by taking part in activities arranged by the Sixth Form Community Sports Leadership Group and staff. These will include, for example, Name the Teddy, Make the Teachers Laugh, How Many Sweets in the Jar, Beat the Goalie and a Copper Line
where students can bring their spare coins to make a line of change around the school. In addition, there will be a Sixth Form vs. Teachers Netball match during lunchtime which students can watch for a small donation. Students will also have the opportunity to buy a Red Nose for £1.00. All proceeds from these events will go directly to the Comic Relief charity. Therefore, if your daughter would like to take part in these events, they may wish to bring a small amount of money to school on Friday.
We hope that by supporting such events we raise the students’ awareness of the need to help others in the local, national and international communities.
