Students will also have full access to the Post 16 facilities for the day.

Students are required to choose the subjects they would like to attend for taster day and are provided with a personalised timetable. Students are not required to wear uniform, but should be smartly dressed, a buffet lunch is also be provided for everyone.

Getting Started in Post 16

As part of our Post 16 induction process, the ‘Getting Started’ days are made up of a series of lessons, enrichment activities and orientation opportunities. These provide students with an introduction to the courses they are looking to study and will enable them to take away some additional reading and research to do over the summer to give you a real head start when they join Post 16 in September.  The enrichment activities have been planned for this year includes; Team Building Skills; a Careers Fair and help with writing an effective CV and personal statement.

There are at least two lessons running for each subject, so if you are undecided about the subject you would like to study, you can attend lessons in as many subjects as you wish. In addition to this you will be given a dedicated Form Tutor for these days, who will be available to help and support you and you will have full access to the Post 16 facilities.

Please see the “Getting Started” page of the website for more information and links to Summer Work for students.
