Performance Data 2022

Year 11 Results 2022:

  • Progress 8 (estimate): +0.21
  • Attainment 8 score: 48.9
  • Average points score for English Baccalaureate 2021: 4.3


75% of students achieved a standard pass (grade 4) in both English and maths
53% of students received a strong pass (grade 5) in both English and maths

 

  • In English 70.5% achieved a strong pass, 83.5% a standard pass.
  • In Maths 58% achieved a strong pass, 78% a standard pass.

43% of students were entered for the English Baccalaureate

68% of students achieved a standard pass (grade 4) in both English and maths
47% of students received a strong pass (grade 5) in both English and maths

  • In English 79% achieved a strong pass, 92% a standard pass.
  • In Maths 48% achieved a strong pass, 68% a standard pass.

13.5% of students were entered for the English Baccalaureate

Particular subject highlights include:

  • Computer Science, Dance (Performing Arts), Hospitality and Catering, Music and Textiles, where 100% of students achieved grade 4 and above.
  • Media with 63% grade 5 and above and 85% at grade 4 and above.
  • Physics with 65% grade 5 and above and 90% grade 4 and above

DSTC Post 16 Results – 2021:


Congratulations to all DSTC Post 16 students on their results, yet again we have improved overall results from last year. We are pleased to report some outstanding achievements by our students in their qualifications this summer.


Rebecca Gearing: Distinction*, Distinction, A (Apprenticeship, Childcare )
Tamara Christian-Lau: Distinction, Distinction, Distinction (Durham University, Criminology)
Alexia Phokou: Distinction, Distinction, A (Full time employment)


Another year of fantastic results represent further signs that Post 16 at DSTC is going from strength to strength. 88% of A level grades were A* - C, with 25% A* - A. We are really proud of the grades achieved in Art, English Literature, Media Studies and Psychology, where all grades were C or above.

68% of students achieved a standard pass (grade 4) in both English and maths

43% of students received a strong pass (grade 5) in both English and maths

In English 60% of students achieved a strong pass, 89% a standard pass.

In Maths 49% of students achieved a strong pass, 71% a standard pass.

We are incredibly proud of our students who have collected their results, they have worked very hard and have been a credit to DSTC throughout their time with us.

Particular congratulations go to:

  • Riddhi Patel with six grade 9s, two grade 8s and one grade 7 at GCSE,
  • Faith Howard with four grade 9s, two grade 8s, a Distinction, two grade 7s and one grade 6.
  • Alicia Giaccone-Munn with two grade 9s, four grade 8s, two grade 7s and one grade 6
  • Avipsha Deuja with two grade 9s, a Distinction*, 4 grade 8s, a Distinction and two grade 7s, 
  • Katelin Ball with three grade 9s, five grade 8s, and two grade 7s.

We are really proud of the grades achieved in many of our subjects, with particular mention to:

  • Biology with 89% grade 5+ and 41% grade 7+
  • Chemistry with 81% grade 5+ and 38% grade 7+
  • Computer Science with 68% grade 5+ and 32% grade 7+
  • Film Studies with 80% grade 5+ and 25% grade 7+
  • Physics with 88% grade 5+ and 35% grade 7+
  • Catering with 89% Merit+ and 48% Distinction+

We wish all of our students the best of luck for the future, we have every confidence they will be successful moving forward into Post 16 education or training. 

DSTC A-Level Results – 2020

Congratulations to DSTC post 16 students on their results for 2020; We are incredibly proud of our students who colleced results, they have worked very hard and have been a credit to DSTC throughout their time with us. Particular congratulations go to:

Our results represent a further improvement on the results from last year, showing Post 16 at DSTC is going from strength to strength. 92% of A level grades were A* - C, with 27% A* - A. We are really proud of the grades achieved in art, photography, maths, English literature and media studies, where all grades are C or above.

  • Average points score for English Baccalaureate: 3.58

60% of students achieved a standard pass (grade 4) or above in both English and Maths

38% of students achieved a strong pass (grade 5) or above in both English and Maths

DSTC GCSE Results – 2019

Congratulations to our Year 11 students on their fantastic results, they have achieved the best English and maths grades in the history of DSTC. 62% of students achieved a standard pass in both subjects.

  • In English 50% achieved a strong pass, 71% a standard pass.
  • In Maths 49% achieved a strong pass, 70% a standard pass.

I am also particularly pleased with the GCSE results in:

  • Media, where 83% of students gained a standard pass or above.
  • Art where 56% of students gained a standard pass or above.
  • Product Design where 55% of students gained a standard pass or above.
  • Applied, where students achieved very well with 90% of students achieving a pass (or higher) in Health and Social Care, Business Studies and Hospitality and Catering.

Our most successful students were:

  • Onor Akpede – three 8s, two 7s, four 6s and one 5.
  • Tamara Christian-Lau – one 9, one 8, four 7s, two 6s, one 5 and one 4.
  • Weronika Drag – one 9, one 8, one 7, five 6s, one 5 and one 4.
  • Miranda Rios-Soriano – one 9, two 8s, one 7, three 6s, three 5 and one 4.
  • Nancy Williams – one 9, one 8, three 7s, three 6, one 5 and a distinction.
  • Sofia Williams – one 9, two 8s, three 7s and four 6s.

DSTC A-Level Results – 2019

Congratulations to DSTC post 16 students on their results; I am delighted and proud of you all. Overall there has been an increase in results from last year and 65% achieved A* to C grades (or equivalent).

I am particularly pleased with the results in Media, where 100% of students gained A* to C grades. Also in both IT and Sport where 100% of students gained Distinction*/Distinction to C grades.  Additionally in  both Business and Health & Social Care where 100% of students gained Distinction* to Merit grades. Psychology where 83% of students gained A* to C grades.  English Literature where 67% of students gained A* to C grades.

Our first AS Criminology cohort gained 88% A* to C as well, boding well for next year A level results.

Our most successful students were:

  • Chloe Soave :  A, Distinction, C
  • Paige Rumble:  Distinction, Distinction, Merit
  • Megan Holt:  Distinction, B, C
