The School Games Mark

This week, we celebrate the achievement that DSTC has been awarded The School Games Mark. This is an award scheme, facilitated by the Youth Sport Trust, that recognises schools for their commitment to promoting active and competitive sports both within and outside the curriculum. It's a national initiative that encourages schools to develop a strong PE and school sport provision, aiming to make students more active and develop their skills in sports. DSTC's Silver award signifies that our school has demonstrated a commitment to developing competition both within the school and in the wider community. Our students have had greater opportunities to partake in extra curricular clubs this year, including dance, trampolining, netball, football, badminton, rounders, fitness and many more.
We have also engaged in more competitive experiences within the Dartford and Kent community, notably the International Women's Day football event at Dartford FC and multiple cross-country competitions. This achievement recognises how DSTC prioritises creating positive experiences for young people in sport and physical activity, ensuring that the activities are motivating and enjoyable.
