“Educating and Empowering Citizens of the Future”

"Dartford Science and Technology College is a welcoming and friendly school. There is a strong sense of community, based on excellent relationships between staff, pupils and parents. The school is a safe space for pupils to learn and develop as young citizens...

Leaders set demanding standards for what pupils should learn and by when...The school has high expectations of pupils' behaviour, with strong systems to manage it. As a result, pupils behave very well. There is little disruption to learning. Staff deal with any concerns about bullying quickly and fairly...

School Leaders have designed an ambitious curriculum which prepares pupils well for adult life. It contains a strong element which is designed to support character development. Pupils regularly debate important social and moral questions. Sixth-form courses prepare students well for the next steps in education and employment through virtual work experience and university links..."

  • A victorious evening for DSTC!!! The Y10 team played two games; the first against Meopham and the second against Wilmington Grammar. They showed great speed and confidence throughout their matches, and Georgiana's shooting was fantastic earning her POM. Leah and Chloe made multiple interceptions which strengthened the defence. A 21-5 and 11-8 score line left us celebrating under the floodlights!! The wonderfully enthusiastic Y7 team played their first ever fixture against Meopham, and also got their first taste of success with a 9-0 win! Mabel scored lots of the goals with great precision and coolness; and Dorothy made some great decision making with her passing! So proud of the Y7 team who thoroughly enjoyed the experience!

  • The Y8 and Y9 teams partook in their first league matches of the season as they travelled to St John's. The Y8 team played a fast paced game with multiple interceptions and end to end action. There was some great defensive skills shown by Nancy and exceptional pace seen as Annie drove into the pockets to feed the ball into the shooters. With a very tough opposition they accepted a 4-2 defeat. The Y9 played two games this evening, with no substitutes, so the demands on their fitness levels was high. They managed to sustain excellent skills and dominance in both games. Winning the first 5-0 and the second 4-1! Fantastic shooting from Faith and Jaylen, as well as a debut by Telisha! Congratulations all! And big thanks to Mr Dix for driving the teams!
