Initial Teacher Training
Are you thinking about joining the most rewarding profession or know someone who is?
KMT has been working in partnership with many schools throughout Kent and South East London for over 25 years to successfully train thousands of teachers. Our wide range of partner schools play a huge part in developing talented individuals into the teachers they want to become.
If you’re thinking of becoming a teacher, or if you know someone who is, it is not too late yet. We are still recruiting until the end of the academic year, so why not get started today! We would be delighted to hear from you.
We have opportunities available for both Primary and Secondary training. All you need to have, or have pending, is a degree and a strong desire to teach and inspire the minds of the future. If you have any questions or would like some further guidance on your application then please contact our recruitment team at firstname.lastname@example.org or on 07729608106
The Partnership - why train with us?
Dartford Science and Technology College is a Lead School for Kent and Medway Training (KMT), our Initial Teacher Training (ITT) partner http://www.kmtraining.org.uk/.
In partnership with Kent and Medway Training, we endeavour to ensure that trainees have the relevant, quality exposure to both the practical and theoretical elements of the course and have the opportunity to network regularly with others embarking on the same subject studies at other training institutions.
As well as our work with KMT we also host and train trainees from University of Greenwich, University of East Anglia and University of East London.
Last year all our School Direct Associate Teachers and trainees successfully completed their placements and found employment in local schools and some within our school. We pride ourselves on our 100% success rate.
In addition to that, we had a 100% success rate on all our ECT induction years. This is as a result of delivering a high-quality post-training programme of support in the first year of all our qualified teachers building on all their strengths and areas for further development since gaining QTS.
